Welcome to Mandala Mamas

We are glad you found us. Our goal is to create spaces of connection and facilitate nurturing environments for expecting Mamas and new Mamas. Whether you seek to connect with a group of like minded women or to get some exercise and time to rejuvinate, we have programs designed with you in mind. And of course we want to see your little ones so we have a special Mom & Baby Yoga program designed to get you and baby moving and bonding.

Creating Spaces of Connection

Mom & Baby Yoga

Home with a new babe? Bring your sweet babe to Tandava Yoga and treat yourself to a yoga class in the company of other new mamas. Classes are lead by an experienced yoga instructor, Megan McMichael. Yoga can be a great way to begin safely strengthening, stretching and taking care of the body and mind post pregnancy. Our intention is to provide a safe space for new mamas to connect and find community.

Show up as you are, mama. No experience required. Nursing, bottle feeding, diapering, crying, giggling and everything else that comes with a new babe is welcome and expected.

Prenatal Yoga

This 6 week yoga series helps you connect with other mamas and stay active during all stages of your pregnancy. Classes are crafted to strengthen the muscles you will use in labour as well as release the stiff and sore areas caused by pregnancy's changing levels of mobility. Rest and relaxation is guaranteed.

Prenatal yoga helps you take care of yourself, bond with your baby and learn breathing techniques the help you throughout the labour process - and daily life!

We offer this class as a pre-registered 6 weeks series, giving you a chance to actually get to know the women you are practicing and creating with.

Meet Megan

The Okanagan has my heart. Having lived here for nearly my entire life, I have a deep appreciation + love for this land. My days change with the seasons; however, there are a few constant passions in my life. I am a lover of learning, constantly devouring knowledge through podcasts, blogs, traditional + audio books. I’m a lover of memoirs, forever interested in how others live out their days in this wild world. I appreciate all things cozy, including warm mugs of tea, handknit blankets + wood burning stoves. Most of my days include bits of nature, poetry, connection, movement, music, self-exploration + snacks.

Yoga found me when I needed it most. Beginning my journey in 2006 during a time of stress + trauma. I didn’t know much about the practice, all I knew was how I felt after the class. The effects of yoga on my body + mind was exactly what I needed to heal and grow. Slowly throughout the years Yoga proved to be a vital and important part of my life. In 2011 I embarked on my own yoga adventure, completing my 300 hour yoga teacher training.

In 2015 I was blessed with my greatest gift, my son Cameron. My transition into motherhood was beautiful + challenging. The birth of my son and my entrance into motherhood ignited my passion to learn more about prenatal and postnatal health + movement. Mandala Mamas is an expression of who I am and what I wish to offer the world. My intention is to gently guide mamas to strengthen + develop their own inner wisdom + power. As well as, to offer an accepting space for mamas to connect and build community.
