Home with a new babe? Attend a Baby + Me Yoga class to tune in to your evolving body, your energizing breath + your sweet babe. Yoga is a great way to begin safely strengthening, stretching and taking care of the body + mind post pregnancy. Our intention is to provide a safe space for fresh mamas to connect and find community. Mamas are encouraged to join 6 weeks+ postpartum and after their physician has approved activity. Prenatal Yoga is a great way to connect with other pregnant mamas and to stay active during all stages of pregnancy. Our prenatal yoga classes are designed to strengthen the muscles used in labour, to stretch muscles that get stiff and sore from lack of mobility and to encourage rest and relaxation. This class is designed to unite a mix of mamas from all stages of motherhood. Mama Collective Yoga welcomes prenatal, postnatal and big kid moms. A collective of mamas moving through the various joys + challenges of motherhood. A gentle yoga class for all levels of experience. An opportunity to tune in to your body, slow down the mind and deepen your breath. A soft place for all mamas to ground + connect. Mama Collective Yoga is offered online + in studio.
The need for connection is more present than ever. Mothers simply do not have the 'village' of support they desire + crave. Let's come together as a collective of mamas to share, connect, grow, laugh and cry together. Every session will begin with a grounding exercise, followed by authentic and open sharing. This is a space to share honestly + candidly about the joys and challenges of motherhood. This circle will be a mix of mamas from all backgrounds + stages. A recent relocation to the West Kootenays has me excited + passionate about making new connections in the Kootenay region. I primarily offer classes in the Okanagan + West Kootenays; however, a recent dive into online offerings has me connecting with folks all over British Columbia. My days change with the seasons; however, there are a few constant passions in my life. I am a lover of learning, constantly devouring knowledge through podcasts, blogs, traditional + audio books. I’m a lover of memoirs, forever interested in how others live out their days in this wild world. I appreciate all things cozy, including warm mugs of tea, handknit blankets + wood burning stoves. Most of my days include bits of nature, poetry, connection, movement, music, self-exploration + snacks.
Slowly throughout the years, yoga found me when I needed it most. Beginning my journey in 2007 during a time of stress + trauma. I didn’t know much about the practice, all I knew was how I felt after class. The effects of yoga on my body + mind were exactly what I needed to heal and grow. Slowly throughout the years Yoga proved to be a vital and important part of my life. In 2011 I embarked on my own yoga adventure, completing my 300 hour yoga teacher training.
In 2015 I was blessed with my greatest gift, my son Cameron. My transition into motherhood was beautiful + challenging. The birth of my son and my entrance into motherhood ignited my passion to learn more about prenatal and postnatal health + movement. Mandala Mamas is an expression of who I am and what I wish to offer the world. My intention is to gently guide mamas to strengthen + develop their own inner wisdom and power. As well as, to offer an accepting space for mamas to connect and build community.
